We’ve all got a few mentors who inspire us to build our online presence.

Day after day, we ogle their posts, study their websites and social media, and follow their advice like it’s a manual for success.

We are never intimidated by them – they’re either in other niches or on a whole other level than we are.

But what about our direct competition? The influencers who seem to be tackling our niche way better than we are.

They started from a blank page, just like we did.

We envy all the hilarious, thoughtful, and supportive comments from their audience and wonder if we could ever have a community like theirs.

What are they doing differently to entice engagement from their followers and attract new ones every week?

Maybe they add content often and in more interactive ways (e.g. Stories, Reels, and Lives)?

Or could it be the types of photos they upload?

It’s all a mystery.

Or at least, it used to be!

Tune into today’s podcast to learn about two free online tools I use to crack the code and see the key metrics of anyone’s public page.

You’ll uncover valuable insights about their performance like the number of followers, engagement percentage, posts per week, and average new followers per day.

Look for factors like post frequency, engagement levels, and popular post types among your competitors.

By comparing these metrics to your own, you’ll be more willing to try new ideas and see if they can work for you too.

By delving deeper into their profiles and post details, you’ll find strategies that work best for their audience (who are also YOUR audience!).

I also include a link to my spreadsheet so you’ll have somewhere to put all this useful data and see the full picture.

So let’s dive in and check out what your competition is doing.
