For Content Creation

Starter

To start out you can use your smartphone but if you want something a little nicer, here you go!

**Make sure you purchase a backup battery **

Pro

When you’re ready to upgrade, I recommend a mirrorless full-frame camera. Mirrorless cameras are smaller and lighter than DSLR plus the full-frame will allow you to get everything into the shot.

Lightweight

Looking for a lightweight tripod?

All-around

This tripod is the all-around tripod.

On Camera

This is the microphone is the one I have always used on camera. I love how compact it is but the quality is still great!

Wireless

If you want to have clear sound all the time with your video, get the Rode Wireless Go.

And I recommend getting the lav mic too.

Starter Voiceover/Podcast

To start or if your on a budget, the Blue Snowball is great option.

Pro Voiceover/Podcast

This is the system I use to record everything. And I LOVE how this microphone sounds.

With the microphone, you will need some additional accessories. Don’t be like me and realize during setup that you don’t have everything.

VISIT THE STORE

This is the audio interface that you will need to make the microphone work. It’s recommended to get the solo if you don’t plan on having two hosts.

And don’t forget the cords to hook everything up. If your using a Mac, you will need a USB-C Charge Cable. And you will need the cord to connect the microphone to the audio interface.

External Hard-Drive

When you are a content creator, you have a lot of image and video files. But you don’t want to store these on your computer because it will slow it down plus you’re taking a big risk of losing every if your computer crashes.

You will want to use an external hard drive to store all your files.

SSD Hard-Drive

I use an SSD hard drive to store video files while I’m editing the content. Remember no files live on my computer. You want to use an SSD because it is faster at processing the content, meaning it won’t slow you down like a standard hard drive. The only downside is that it cost more.

After the content is created then transfer the files to the standard hard drive.

An external hard drive is great but we work online so we need an online storage solution that we can access anywhere.

Google Drive is a great resource to store files.

Another online storage solution is Dropbox.
