If you’ve found your way here after listening to the last episode about setting realistic goals, this lesson is all about Measurability.
It’s the ‘M’ in the SMART goals system.
Whether you have a blog, podcast, YouTube channel or other online platform, you’ll already have plenty of statistics or metrics about your content, social media outreach and email campaigns.
But do you find yourself staring endlessly at the graphs and numbers, not sure how to use them, yet knowing that they’re somehow important?
Then, let me help you get to the next phase in your business planning.
I’m going to walk you through this tangled forest of analyzing metrics and I’ll show you how to use several strategies and tools to sort it all out.
And don’t worry, this episode won’t overwhelm you with a long list of metrics you need to follow.
Instead, you’re going to learn how to determine which metrics really matter to you.
I’ll give plenty of examples of what I like to track but remember, it will be different for you depending on your unique goals.
You’ll also hear about the value of doing a social media audit – it’s one of the most useful ways to assess where you are right now and how far away you are from your goal.
Then, you’ll see how metrics can help guide you in the direction that will attract more of your target audience, the people who are going to connect with your content because it’s exactly what they need.
I’ll also share my techniques for testing and tracking new ideas to see which ones are making a difference.
And finally, you’ll learn about the various tools I use to track my metrics.
You don’t have to be a technical whiz to track your metrics – be brave, try new techniques, track them as you go, and see what works for you!
